What's New - Winter 2007-08

 Merry Christmas

One day I saw Emily carrying a chicken in her arms and knew right away that that would be our Holiday Card this year.  I digitally changed the photo and added my own color.

For the inside we Gocco printed out holiday greeting, and Sue put everything together.

Sue got a new bisque kiln that's totally automated, and very easy to use.  The old bisque kiln was 25 years old it worked but was needing more repair and we gave it to the Upper Jay Arts Center for the new pottery studio/art school  Scott is building in the basement.

I re-did my studio to make it more user friendly.  When I started making books I was doing it in the office but the craft grew on me and I was making too many trips between the office and my studio to work on a project.  So I created a book arts table right next to my 12 drawer paper cabinet.

On the left Sue is finishing up a project for North Country Public Radio,
they wanted 300 bookmarks that have a clay Medallion on one end and
a clay stone on the other end of a piece of ribbon.

In the middle Sue continues to make udu's of all sizes
and people continue to buy them and yours truly continues to want one,
but my wife continues to sell mine.

On the right is a Ikebana bowl that Emily made and then
put a wonderful arrangement in. I've commissioned
her to make two dozen of these for next summer

Thanks for checking out what's new.
