We went to New York City in January to catch the last day of the Seurat show at the Modern.  But beforehand we went across the street and saw a wonderful fiber show at the Museum of Art and Design.

On the right is the sculpture garden looking down from the 3rd floor.  I thought the exhibition spaces were great, it was crowded, but never felt over crowded.

On another day after viewing the musical instrument collection at the Met we walked up to the Guggenheim, which was all wrapped up in a restoration project.  We weren't interested in their show so we went into the lobby to check out the space.

Dave and Doug took us to their favorite restaurant in China town and then Sue did some shopping.

Those cherries on the left were 2lbs for $4......I bought 2 pounds and ate them while Sue shopped.

In the photo above Sue is looking over some stones, while Doug keeps an eye on things in the background.

All in all, it's always fun to play in the big city, but it's always glorious to get back to the Adirondacks.

Shhhh......
