Autumn 2008
I've seen 30 autumns in the Adirondacks, I've driven around and hiked up mountains, I've gone out on a limb
to get the right photo.  I've never seen such a spectacular fall season as this one.  My photo's do not do it justice

On the left is the gallery and above are bushes that line the road up to our big maple tree.  Below is a sunrise and our maple tree with a rainbow.  Even though this was such a big autumn for color, I did very little actual picture taking, I think I was just in awe.  Stepping out to our deck and just taking in what I could see from there was enough for me this year.

I did get out and hike, and one thing I love to do is to see the wonder patterns of nature on the ground.

On the left is Lake Placid from "Whiteface Landing", it's on the northern end of the lake, the land you see on the left is one of the islands in the lake.  To get to the "Landing", I took the Connery Pond trail, it's seven mile round trip, on even ground.

The other photo is on Youngs Road near Wadhams, it doesn't get anymore picturesque that over there.
