Hamlin Mountain is right across the street from me and today the first day of summer was such a beautiful day that I decided to go up to the top. I'm lucky to be able to just walk out my door and climb a little mountain like that. |

And of course to the southwest was Whiteface. Spectacular views, if you go, bring a compass or a GPU, I was wishing I had either. The trail comes and goes and when it goes it's really gone so you wind up bushwacking. The terrain is rugged with some loose stone and gravel on the trail, which makes for bad footing. Have to watch every single step you take. |
