I absolutely love riding my bike It's not a particularly fancy bike, it is a hybrid mountain bike with 21 speeds that I picked up at Sam's Club. It gets almost daily use and quite a bit of that is rough treatment, because I like to take it off the road and onto logging trails. |

I leave my house and ride a hundred yards up hill to a country road that has little traffic. There are trails off of this road as soon as half a mile, but I ride up to three miles to get to the trail in the middle picture. The trail gradually narrows and you have to watch your head |

for leaning trees. After the Ice Storm of '98 I spent that summer and fall cleaning brush along these trails and was lucky enough that someone else came along with a chainsaw and helped to clean them up too. This summer of '00 it is wet and so there are numerous wet areas to ride through.......yahoo! |

That's a deer print, I see lots of deer and raccoon prints, I once came across a very large bear print and I immediately began talking to it, just in case it was still nearby so that it wouldn't be startled by me. |

My digital camera (Olympus D-340R) takes wonderful pictures as well as having a timer so that I can shoot myself once in a while. This is my favorite place to ride and I try to go every single morning as early as I can and I generally ride for an hour to an hour and a half. What a great way to start the day! |
