Our friend Gary Francios is a photographer who really gets around the Adirondack Mountains.
Many a night or early morning will find Gary with a head lamp on hiking into a sunrise or sunset.

He invited us once to this wonderful spot where giant boulders fell off the mountain and created a cave.  This is our third year of going back there for campfires.  We cook over a fire, the kids explore the boulders, we sing, dance and play drums.  Then tell scary stories.

Jenna looks up to where Corrine is sitting by the giant pyramid rock.

You look out of the cave towards that boulder.

Sue, Corrine, Jenna and Kayla.  Jenna is our neice and Kayla is a friend of Emily's.

I'm tapping out a beat on the mini djembe.

Kayla and Emily are entertaining us.

Emily and Kayla are posing on a root that grows out of one tree and grows into another.
