This waterfall fell away into a gorge.  The sound of cascading water was prominent but there was an underlying rumble in the air as well.  The rumble was like a deep seated fear that you know lurks just on the other side of reality.  It was fascinating to listen too, I stayed and listened and thought.

I think it was while listening to the rumble in the air that I rode on those currents that gently swirl off the planet.  I felt very removed from everything.  I wondered if I would ever be the same.

The trail goes right along the river and flattens out.

Off in the near distance you can hear water splashing with a more fun and friendly manner.

But first on the left, that photo is of a fresh small slide that took earth, rocks and trees down onto the floor of the valley.

On the right is the first view you get of Beaver Meadows Falls.

The waterfall looks like a bridal veil.

I stop to have lunch here and change my sweat soaked shirt.

I made a mistake here as well.  I thought I had reached Rainbow Falls when that is really a mile yet up the trail.

I actually start to walk on the right trail to Rainbow Falls but turn around after half a mile for un-known reasons.

I cross the river to the east trail and took these pictures showing the mountain valley where the AuSable Lakes lie.
