Everywhere you looked you found natures beauty.   Lovely wildflowers amid the rocks and the rocks themselves held abstract designs and composition.

Previous travelers built some elaborate rock cairns to guide one along the path on the rock outcroppings.....On the left someone also built a little rock bench and alter.  The picture on the right looks back at that large rock cairn with Gary still there photographing.  Gary Francios is a photographer from Lake Placid.  Jerry is an artist and art teacher from NY City and spends his summers in Jay.

We hiked towards this rocky peak in the distance thinking that that was Jay Mountain.  It wasn't, the mountain actually lays beyond that.  Below on the left I am right next to it taking a picture of Saddleback Mountain and on the right Corrine climbs on top of it.  The clouds were also great this day, it was low humidity and the temperature was in the high 70's.

On the left Corrine is standing atop Jay Mt., with Whiteface in the background.
