I begin clearing away dirt and took out a brush and brush away dirt and I begin to reveal the nice copper tones of my raku box. I brush away the dirt from the edges until the whole top of the box is shown then take out my knife and pry the box out of the ground. My knife cuts into the waxed seal that holds the cover on. The cover is loosened and taken off, I
slowly move it around and reveal to my guests that there appears to be

that I bound and Sue made look old. It looks ancient, she did a good

through the pages and begin reading, I Sat in the Dirt trying to peek into the future I rubbed it out of my palms, placed the seeds, patted them, thought of ancient ceremonies throughout the history of time. I played that this seed was so important The continuation of time,
The book, "New Digs", contains 14 new poems written in the last year. I bound up two of them, so that I could test the distressing out on one. Sue distressed the book with fire, dirt, blueberries, ashes and tea. I made the announcement that I had actually created two of these books, the prototype (the one I didn't dig up) was the Unknown Auction piece and I said that we would go in and see who won it. Thank you for taking the time to read about my art show.
